I am a historian who works on the intellectual culture of the early modern period. I am a fellow of Peterhouse, where I am currently tutor for undergraduate admissions, director of studies in history, and fellow librarian. I have served on the departmental board of History and Philosophy of Science and the faculty board of History, whose sub-committee for College Teaching Officers I chair.
I believe that the council should represent the breadth of the Cambridge academic community and promote the university’s functioning as a self-governing body of scholars. I am committed to achieving equality of opportunity, whether for applicants to the university, those who study here, or those who work here, and to the pursuit more broadly of aims conducive to the development of social justice.
