I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS), teaching in the areas of comparative politics, European politics and research methodology. I am also a Fellow at Churchill College. I earned my doctorate from the University of Chicago and have worked at Cambridge since 2000. My research has focused on issues of political economy and territorial politics in Europe.
I believe it is of crucial importance that the concerns and views of staff members who work on the ‘front line’ of teaching and supervising students are heard and represented in debates and decision-making at the university level. With my current and previous positions and experiences in department and college, I aim to provide this representation. Areas I am particularly interested in are issues related to postgraduate and undergraduate teaching, policies and initiatives to increase equality and diversity among staff, and provisions for staff and student well-being.
