The structure of the University

The Council of each School acts as a coordinating body for its group of Faculties and filters much of the academic business before transmission to the General Board. 

The Council of the School of Arts and Humanities

The Council of the School of Arts and Humanities consists of the following members:

• Chairs of the Faculty Boards of: 

• The Deputy Head of the School
  
• An undergraduate and a graduate student representative

The Council is chaired by the Head of School.

The Director of the Centre for Research in the Arts and Humanities (CRASSH), and the Director of the Language Centre also attend.

The School Office supports the business of the Council and its Committees/groups and is also responsible for the administration of the cross-school Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Doctoral Training Programme.
