'Town Hall' meetings - Michaelmas Term 2017

The Divestment Working Group was established by the University Council to consider broadly the question of divestment from businessess involved in fossil fuel extraction. The Group completed its Report and submitted it to the Council in April 2018.  

'Town Hall' consultation meeting dates:

25 October 2017 @ 1pm in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Site
 –  9 November 2017 @ 4pm in the Lady Mitchell Hall, Sidgwick Site

The Divestment Working Group held two town hall-style consultation meetings in Michaelmas Term 2017 staff and students in the collegiate Universitystaff and students in the collegiate University contributed to an evidential and positive discussion on divestment. The meetings were chaired by Professor Dame Athene Donald, Chair of the DWG and Master of Churchill College, and the format included a representative panel, contributions from members of the University, and an open discussion.
